The Scheid Diesel Extravaganza (SDX) is the longest running and most prestigious diesel truck event in the world. There’s a little something for everyone at SDX with pulling by Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League (PPL) and the Outlaw Diesel Super Series (ODSS) for drag racing.

The PPL Super Stock Diesel Truck class is the gold standard of diesel truck pulling, nothing with a diesel engine powering four wheels pulls more weight. Nearly all of these 3,000 horsepower machines are Cummins-powered and mechanically-injected, regardless of what body is used. There are a few #SSfueled rebels that stray from convention in favor of progressing common-rail diesel technology. Though Craig Dickey (Cummins Killer 2) and Chris Galati (Turbo Cowboy) did not break into the top ten, they should be recognized for their common-rail innovation efforts in diesel truck pulling’s top class.

Over fifty of the nation’s top PPL Limited Pro Stock trucks descended on Terre Haute, IN on the hunt for a prestigious win at the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza. On Friday night, Garrett Loucks utilized the complete S&S fuel system and electronics package to push “Un-Locked” to 321.31 feet for the win! Other Friday night top ten performances for Team #SSfueled were Jesse Knight (Hillbilly Bone) securing 5th, Jordan Kinderman (Cummin Get It) with a 9th place finish and Colbi Seth (Sketchy Hooker) just half-a-foot behind for 10th place.

Team #SSfueled infiltrated the PPL Limited Pro Stock top ten on Saturday night as well. Brian Shew (Iron Maiden) earned 3rd place and Colbi Seth (Sketchy Hooker) improved to an 8th place finish.

For the second year of the class at SDX, PPL Pro Street Diesel pulled in thirty-five trucks and only the top ten of each day would go on to pull in the big show at night. Scott Barcus (Inline Only) made the cut both nights, earning 2nd place honors on Friday night and an 8th place finish on Saturday. Also on Saturday night, Ray Jay Rindt (Wicked White Knight) secured 2nd place and Lee Stiltz, a vocal supporter of S&S Diesel Motorsport, flogged “Privileged” to a 3rd place finish.

Many teams found success in Outlaw Diesel Super Series drag racing action by using S&S injectors, pumps, and electronics. Done Right Diesel’s Ben Shadday earned Runner-Up honors in ODSS Pro Mod while using a pair of S&S 14mm CP3 pumps. Trusting in the complete S&S fuel system and electronics package paid off for Johnny Gilbert and the Stainless Diesel crew, helping them claim a fourth consecutive ODSS Pro Street victory and locking up the 2019 championship tighter than Fort Knox. Relying on steady fuel from her S&S CP3 pumps, Mindy Jackson won ODSS Outlaw 5.90 for back-to-back wins.

Congratulations to all #SSfueled teams for competing at diesel motorsport’s highest level and thank you for putting your trust in S&S Diesel Motorsport!
